The Swedish participation in EOSC

Information in Swedish on time and location for the webinar with a map of Europe with Sweden highlighted in red.This webinar focuses on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and provides updates on recent developments within EOSC as well as ongoing and planned activities in Sweden related to EOSC.

Sanna Isabel Ulfsparre, EOSC Association delegate from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet), will present the work to establish a Swedish national EOSC node. She will also outline the Council’s mandate and current efforts to foster Swedish engagement in EOSC.

Jessica Lindvall, member of the EOSC Association Board of Directors since January 2026, will talk about what it means to serve on the Board of Directors, the purpose of the EOSC Association, and its main priorities for 2026. She will also share her vision for future EOSC work, including the opportunities and challenges she can see ahead.

The Swedish Research Council is Sweden’s Mandated Organisation in the EOSC Association. In this role, the Council represents the interests of the Swedish research system within the Association. It also strives to coordinate and promote Swedish engagement in EOSC, in close connection with national efforts related to open access to research data. The Swedish Research Council’s EOSC Coordination group brings together representatives from Swedish organisations that are members of the EOSC Association. (The European Open Science Cloud, EOSC – Swedish Research Council
