Research data advisory services
SND offers support and advice on working with research data. This support covers the entire research process, with a particular focus on how data can be shared, published, and reused.
We provide advice both directly to researchers and to staff working in local functions for research data support at Swedish higher education institutions and other research-performing organizations.
Local support is coordinated through the SND Network. Together, the SND office and the local support units provide broad and combined expertise in research data management. This work is carried out in close collaboration across the network.
The advisory services include, for example:
- guidance on managing and making research data available
- support with questions relating to metadata, documentation, and publication
- support related to the FAIR principles.
SND also provides a range of tools, support documents, and guidance materials available via Researchdata.se, SND.se, and SND’s Zenodo community. Several of these resources can also be accessed directly through our service catalogue.
In addition, SND offers personalized advice on specific questions. This may be provided to individual researchers, project groups, or support functions, with the aim of facilitating the process of making research data available.
